About Ashley
Hi there! I’m Ashley, the small but fierce member of our band of adventurers. I have been described as a very quiet loud person, which is pretty fitting. I am an animal lover, tree hugger and free spirit. I love to read (mysteries and true crime), sing and dance, and am super competitive at board games. I am always up for a challenge and enjoy surprising those who underestimate me.
The most rewarding job I ever had was as an Advocate for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. I have been a practicing attorney for 6 ½ years and while I can’t turn down the chance to win an argument, I have always struggled with being stuck in a professional office job. I am my happiest when I am traveling the world with Kevin, hanging at home with our girls, hiking through untouched wilderness, or working with my hands to renovate/build/create.
If you had told me 10 years ago where I would be today and that we would be leaving the safety and security of home to RV full time without any real clear plan, I would have said not a chance. But I’ve learned through several unexpected detours in my life to embrace the unknown, to dance in the rain and to take the chance on dreams which seem risky or crazy because there’s a certain kind of magic in that. And while I am slightly terrified, I am also very excited for this next chapter in our lives and for the freedom, challenges, and memories it will undoubtedly bring.
